Publications and Technical Writing Experience
I have undertaken numerous technical-writing projects. The vast
majority of these consist of technical manuals, user guides and training notes to
accompany bespoke computer software. However, a few examples of my technical writing are
in the public domain, and these are listed at the bottom of this page.
My
first full-length book (470 pages) was published in the UK in July 2000, and in the USA
during October 2000. It is intended for IT professionals working in industry and
academia, and offers practical guidance on designing automated measurement and control
systems. The book has received very favourable reviews from readers as well as from
other authors in the field. It was recently ranked second best seller of 239 current
interfacing titles and first of 66 data-acquisition titles by Barnes And Noble (USA) and
Waterstones (UK), respectively.
I have also contributed to, proof read and
reviewed many other books and academic papers prior to their publication. Copies of my
publications are available on request.
